Asian-style model homes open in Alfonso, Cavite

Asian home design is known for its minimalist sense of space, use of organic materials such as ceramic, wood, and stone, as well as for allotting an area for meditation or prayer. This idea of making home a blissful space resonates with Don Tim Development Corporation (DTDC), which recently held an inauguration for its latest home model for Montebello, the Lotus Twins.

Located in Alfonso, Cavite, the Lotus Twins is an Asian-style duplex bungalow featuring open and flexible spaces that became especially appreciated during the stricter days of living in quarantine.

Besides the open-floor interior design, units also include high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling wide windows for better ventilation — the better for natural light to come in and save up on electricity while letting Tagaytay’s breeze circulate and give a calming indoor vibe.

According to Audric Leong, Chief Executive Officer of Don Tim Development Corporation (DTDC), the property isn’t all just about aesthetics but about being productive as well. Leong said: “In fact, it can be detrimental to it, in terms of time wasted in traffic, constant exposure to crowds, enclosed spaces, etc. We’ve learned that we can live and work anywhere, so it might as well be in a place where you can breathe easy, live healthily, and thrive.”

Back to its spaciousness, which allows owners to reconfigure areas to make way, for instance, for entertaining big crowds, Lotus Twins includes garden spaces as additional areas for relaxing and interacting with fellow residents or guests.

Aside from the Lotus Twins, the Montebello also has two other new designs: the Daphne I and the Daphne II, both also boasting climate-conscious designs and open spaces beneficial for residents who are looking for a more breathable living environment in the new normal.
